Anniversary Specials (ending soon)

I've noticed that quite a few people have the CSP anniversary specials (HERE and HERE) in their wishlists and carts over on RPGNow etc. ...and so I thought I would offer a quick reminder and say that both offers end shortly ...so if you wanted to pick either of them up for the reduced price, then today is your last chance!

2012 Map-a-Monday (week 31)

OK then, this Monday sees the first of the 'cave-corner' style geomorphs (which can be pieced together to make larger caves):

I'm planning on drawing at least 16 of these (i.e. four variations of each corner) ...which will take me through until mid November(ish) ...after which, I'll probably revert back to the regular geomorphs for the remainder of the year.

2012 Map-a-Monday (week 30)

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, this map will be the last 'self-contained' geomorph for a little while:

So, starting next week, I'll be posting 'cave corner' geomorphs on the blog - which will enable you to mix things up a little and put together larger caverns. They'll be exactly the same size as the one above, but each geomorph will depict either a top-right, bottom-right, top-left, or bottom-left corner of a cave/cavern, and, as such, you'll need to put four of them together to make a complete map (see the post 3 below this one for an example of their layout).

Unfortunately this will mean that you'll have to wait four weeks to get the first four tiles, but in the long run, I think the added diversity will be worth the wait.

MegaDungeon Lvl 1

Remember this from a couple of weeks ago:

...well here's a sneak peek at the rest of the dungeon:

This is a little project that I've been working on for the last couple of weeks - and it is something that I'm hoping to have available for sale by the end of the month (with any luck).

For those of you who are already familiar with the 'Little Book of Dungeons' range, you'll probably notice that I'm heading in a slightly different direction with this next one (though admittedly not by all that much) - with the download including all of the following:

A pdf booklet that contains an overview map of the entire dungeon level, followed by a more detailed (colour) map of each of the 29 different sections of the dungeon. At the end of the pdf will also be a couple of 'player handout' style map fragments (complete with errors) - perhaps drawn by previous adventurers or obtained from ancient records.

A second pdf will also be included in the download price, which will contain all of the above dungeon sections blown up to miniatures scale - so that they can be used as impromptu battlemats (should they be required as such).

And finally, each of the dungeon sections will also be supplied as separate jpg images - so that they can be used with VTTs (virtual tabletops) or imported into whatever kind of document the GM desires (note that I'm planning on supplying both 'numbered' and 'unnumbered' versions of each map where applicable).

So, hopefully that sounds like a handy little product /resource to help the time-strapped GM get a party of adventurers down into a dungeon (and if it proves to be popular, then of course level 2 will be following along in the near future).

2012 Map-a-Monday (week 28)

Here's the next geomorph:

The current plan is to do two more like this (i.e. self contained geomorphs with exits on one or more sides) ...which will mean that the first 30 maps will provide you with two variations of each type of entry/exit configuration (e.g. 2 left turns, 2 right turns, 2 crossroads, etc.).

After that I'm planning to change things up a little, so that larger caves can be built by putting 4 tiles together - just to add a bit more variety.

For a quick example of what I mean see the picture below:

Crooked Staff 'Publishing' is one year old!

Wow, this one nearly slipped by without a mention ...but last Sunday (1st July) saw the one year anniversary of the first CSP commercial product, and the launch of Crooked Staff Publishing!

So to celebrate, I think it's only right to hold a bit of a sale ...so you can now get the three books of the Age of Shadow collection for just $2.99, and all four of the Little Book of Dungeons booklets for $2.99.

(note that the offer will run until the end of the month)

EDIT
Regarding folks who've already purchased the AoS campaign guide and would just like to get the map-pack at the sale price:

I have sent out discount e-mails through DriveThruRPG so that you can just grab just the 'East Eyrie map-pack' part of the deal at the reduced cost ...but if you haven't received that e-mail (for example if you've selected to not to receive publisher e-mails in your account settings) then here's the link:
